About me
Hello and thank you for visiting my blog! I have avoided blogging for a long time (although I tried it a few times a number of years ago). However, I understand now just how important it is for professionals (especially photographers) to share a bit about themselves and their work in order for their customers to get to know them better. As I slowly make my way into the world of photography (especially wedding photography), it is important that people can learn about me.
So, who am I? First of all, if you haven’t figured it out yet, my name is David Hepler. I was born near Houston, Texas. My family moved a few times, finally ending up between Dallas and Ft. Worth in a town called Bedford, Texas. I went to TCJC for a few years and then moved out to Lubbock, Texas where I started as a Business Major. Later I changed my major to German. I got a BA in German with a minor in Business and had the intention to get a Masters of Business Administration, but never did that!
I moved to near Ulm, Germany in 2000 and did an internship working with computers. Before then playing with computers was just a hobby, however that is when I really found that I loved working with computers, and I was good at it! After moving back to the US at the end of 2000 and not finding a job, I moved back to Germany in 2001 and got a full time job with the company that I did my internship with. Since then I have changed jobs and cities. I now live in the wonderful city of Munich, Germany! And once again, I have found that my love for a hobby makes for a great job! I have loved photography for many years. I often have my camera when I go to a friends house, which is how I got started. In 2007, friends of mine knew my love for photography and they liked my photos, so they asked me to photograph their wedding. After the excitement of photographing their wedding and then the reactions of the bride and groom and their friends that saw their album, I knew that this is something I wanted to do! Since then I have photographed a number of weddings. Each wedding that I photograph is as exciting as the last. It is wonderful to have the opportunity to experience the most important day of a couples life up until that point!
