Having engagement photos taken is for the most part a foreign concept here in Germany. In the US, many couples have engagement photos made so they can place an announcement in their local news paper and perhaps to include a photo in their wedding invitation. I believe that having an engagement photo session is quite important and is something that every couple should consider. This is a great opportunity for a photographer and the engaged couple to get to know each other. Even if the photographer knows the couple well, it is still important for the photographer to learn how that couple interacts in front of the camera. It is also important for the couple to get comfortable with their photographer and this is the best chance to do it. When the photographer shows up to photograph the most important day of a couple’s life, there is no time to get to know the photographer and to figure out what he wants from you.
This is why I include an Engagement package to couples that book the Extended , Deluxe or the All-Inclusive Wedding Package. As an added extra bonus, those couples that book one of those wedding packages also receive a free standard size guest album!
